Ball toys

Dog Ball toyThere are ball toys in all forms and sizes, make sure that you choose the right size and material. Don't choose a small ball for a big dog, they can easily get stuck into the throat of your dog.

Extra large balls (football) are really fun if you want to play together with your dog, it's a shame that most balls (usually made for children) get punctured quickly.

There is however a ball available that is called The Almost Indestructible Ballthis is a high-impact, polyethylene ball. Designed for large dogs or hard chewers, it won't chip, break, tear or pop. Stands up to tough play from the roughest dogs. It comes in two sizes.

Fetching a ball on the beach or in the park is for a lot of dogs their most favorite game, for their owners however it is sometimes a little less fun. Picking up the ball when it's coated with saliva or bending over more then your back is willing to do is no fun, and some of us just don't have the strength or handiness to throw the ball far enough. Balls on ropes or a throwing arm are helpful solutions.

The Chuckit Retriever Toy by Canine Hardware has a "claw" design at the end which allows you to pick up the wet ball without touching it or straining your back to get it. And you can swing the ball far, far away.

This floating Air Kong Fetch Stick on Rope is the absolute top for throwing and retrieving.
