Safe dog car seats

We all now that some little dogs who should be sitting nice and quiet on the back seat end up on the rear deck of the car or standing the whole journey with their front legs against the side windows, with all security risks involved. We can't count the number of times dogs fell into the space between the back- and front seat and that is the least serious accident you can have. Medium size or small dogs like to see what's going on outside as well!

The perfect solution for this problem is a dog seat. These are available in various forms and sizes, the most practical ones provide a safe system to secure your dog and a luggage compartment under the seat. The best ones provide exterior straps that hook on to your car's seat belt system and have a safety harness (do not use attachment to a collar in the car!, see dog safety seatbelts.) There are also systems with two metal handles that go over the top of the car seat.
