Don't leave your dog in the car!

Most people understand by common sense that they shouldn't leave their dog inside a car on a hot day. But they don't realize that the temperature can quickly go to dangerous levels, just after a few minutes. Even on a relatively cool day, the temperature inside a parked car can quickly spike to life-threatening levels if the sun is out, researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine have found. They hope their findings will put to rest the misconception that a parked car can be a safe place for a child or pet in mild weather. You can read the report here .

So don't leave your dog in the car, not even for a little while. Do not rely on the air conditioning, a lot of dogs end up dead when the system fails.
